Passing Out Parade 2013

On 2 August 2013, the Unit conducted the Annual Passing Out Parade, witnessing the final lapse of our Delta Leaders of 2012/13. The Delta Leaders of 2012/13 joined the NCC family in 2010 and begin their leadership journey in 2012. Since then, they have been working hard with the Teacher Officers and Seniors in planning and conducting of training, and ensuring the smooth running of every training. Deyi NCC would like to thank all Delta Leaders for their commitment and dedication to the Corps and the Unit for the past 4 years and we wish them all their best in their GCE N and O Level.

Here are the Passing Out Parade Message from some of the Delta Leaders:
"Cadets, as you know the delta are officially leaving the unit this year. We have been taking over the unit since last year, and now, there will be a new batch of leaders taking over us. As they take over the unit, I hope you guys will be nice and respectful towards the new batch of leaders and treat them with respect just like how you treat us. During our time in NCC, we have learned and picked up many new knowledge and qualities that had been instilled since the start of our journey in NCC. The journey of being in NCC may be tough, however, it is NCC that shape our character and our ability of being a Leader. Being a leader may not be easy, however, it gives us a chance to actually lead a unit and pass down our knowledge to the next batch. Every leader are expected to give their best to their Cadets and Charlie, make sure all of you set a role model to your Cadets and make sure you guys are somebody that they can look up to as a leader. Leaders tend to make mistakes at certain point of time, however, I want you guys to learn from the mistakes and do it better next time. Each and every one of us will face difficulties at certain point of time but I do not want you guys to be deterred by failures. I want the Bravo and Alpha Cadets to put in your 100% effort in NCC from now on, and do your best in it. NCC is one and I want it to stay as one as the delta officially leave the unit." - MSG Tew Wei Jie, Unit Sergeant Major of 2012/13
"Good afternoon Cadets, Cadet Leaders, Teacher Officers and Seniors. Today marks the end of my journey as a Specialist. To the incoming Specialists: The next 2 years of your journey as a Specialist will not be easy, but I believe that as long as you and your platoon mates are able to work as a part, you will be able to overcome all difficulties and bring the unit to great heights. To the Bravo Cadets: Do give the incoming Specialists your fullest support and cooperation, and work hard to be the best that you can be. To my Platoon mates: the time that we have spent with teaching others have created many unforgettable memories, and I am proud to have been brothers with you for the past few years." - SSG Chan Jun Ren, Charlie Platoon Sergeant of 2012/13
"Good afternoon Cadets, Cadet Leaders, Teacher Officers and Seniors. Today will be the day that marks the end of my journey as a Specialist in Deyi. First and foremost, to the Seniors, thank you for raising us to be better people. Without you, we would have not succeeded in being the Cadet Leaders we are today. Standing here now, I looked back at where I was a few years ago. The unsuspecting thrill of joining NCC was never a regret to me as we learnt tons of values along the way. From Discipline to Brotherhood, these were the values that I carried throughout the years. To the Incoming Leaders, I hope we did our part to culture the positive attitude we always had in NCC into you and I also hope that you spur your Cadets to do the same. Lastly to my Platoon mates in Delta, thank you for creating so many precious memories together and I am proud to be your brothers to this very day we pass out. Congratulations on to your day, follow your passion, continue to be leaders, and best of luck in your future." - SSG Muhammad Sabil Surawan, Alpha Platoon Sergeant 2012/12
