On 11 April 2011, Deyi National Cadet Corps Part A cadets went for the Part A Battlefield Trial. The aim for this trail is to help the Part A Cadets appreciate the need for a strong and capable SAF through a battlefield trail, focusing on leadership competency, warfare tactics and local contribution to the defence of Singapore during WWII.
The objective of this trail is to
- Understand the concept of manoeuvre warfare, tactical considerations for attack and defence, and need to be committed to the defence of Singapore.
- Understand the reasons why British failed to defend Singapore.
- Understand how the Japanese had successfully employed Joint and Combined Arms concepts to cause the rapid collapse of Fortress Singapore.
I'm sure the Part A Cadets had enjoy themselves during the trail, and had also gain lots of knowledge from the facilitator.
